Arctic Monkeys Alex Turner working with Tony Christie

The Arctics' frontman is working with cheesy crooner Tony Christie - best-known to anyone under 50 as the singer on the 2005 Comic Relief single - on a cover of an Arctics track for his new album.

Tony told NME: "I'm going to look at doing Only Ones Who Know. Alex has said he's up for it and he'll pop in to work on it."

An unlikely combo, true, but our Tony is from Sheffield and his whole album's going to have a distinctly Sheffield theme.

Recorded in the city, native musos include Alex, Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker and singer Richard Hawley all taking part.
